Creo conveniente mencionar por la influencia probablemente más significativa que puede haber tenido en mi propuesta en el ARTE GEOMÉTRICO Trazado Espacial Continuo, la comprensión espacial y la realización de las pinceladas: medida y el trazo –gesto- directo único, en su lugar exacto y exclusivo, conformando líneas en mi pintura y medios electrónicos, la enseñanza del pintor realista Antonio López García en el 1º curso 1965-66 siendo profesor en la Escuela Superior de BBAA de San Fernando y en 1984 en el Taller que impartió en el Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid.
Hace más de 30 años (1987-1988) que yo, ILUMINADA GARCIA TORRES (Elche, 1949) realicé dos pinturas al óleo de la escultura de mármol ARIADNE dormida en Naxos, en el Museo del Prado de Madrid, para lo cual el pintor Antonio López García me recomendó en la solicitud del permiso que debía cumplimentar para poder pintar en el MUSEO. Después realicé otras pinturas en mi estudio de la escultura de Ariadna, que mostraría junto a las composiciones pictóricas de objetos geométricos de influencia metafísica y arquitectónica en 1990, en la exposición de la Galería Albatros de Madrid. Miguel Fernández-Cid publicó en Diario 16 la entrevista que me hizo con motivo de esta exposición.

Fue un buen comienzo para mi obra de ARTE GEOMÉTRICO sistemático y constructivo en pintura, digital y escultura, en 1991 y presenté en la exposición y catálogo de combinables.blogspot.com-1993
geometrías, COMBINABLES en 1993, (Caja de Ahorros del Mediterráneo, CAM de Alicante) y que a partir de la praxis y formulación teórica que realicé en ese año sigo investigando en los proyectos actuales de 2019 que espero poder realizar con los nuevos avances que la tecnología va posibilitando.
Cuando digo un –buen comienzo- expreso que es en el arte geométrico en lo personal el hecho de continuar durante tres décadas encontrando motivación para realizar nuevas obras y los varios cuadernos de obras digitales que son testimonio de los primeros años del proceso creativo que inicié en 1991, los cuales enseñé y entregué a críticos de arte en Madrid y Alicante, y que todavía no he tenido ocasión de presentar como un trabajo de investigación aunque si los fui registrando esperando que alguna vez se valoraran como creo que debía de haber sido, yo les doy mayor importancia o tanta como a las exposiciones que he realizado.
En los años 90, por ejemplo mirando los catálogos de las exposiciones de los Concursos de los Premios de Pintura de
L´OREAL que se celebraban en el Centro Cultural Conde Duque, seleccionaron mis obras Trazado Espacial Continuo en las Ediciones de, 1994, 95, 96, 97 y El Hilo de Ariadna en 2001-02, pinturas de Arte Geométrico de 180x180cm cada obra, que yo ILUMINADA GARCIA-TORRES presenté, lines-among-musicality.blogspot.com-L´oreal
coincidiendo en alguna de las Ediciones con las del pintor Julián Gil del que conocía su obra y había comisariado la exposición Arte Geométrico en España 1957-1989 y la internacional de Arte Sistemático y Constructivo, que se celebraron ambas exposiciones en abril de 1989 en el Centro Cultural de la Villa (Madrid).

1997 Seleccionada en los Concursos de Pintura y Escultura VILLA DE MADRID 97 con exposición en Centro Cultural Conde Duque de Madrid.

02/06/15.- ILUMINADA GARCIA TORRES (Elche 1949) she has made a Retrospective Exhibition with the title of Geometry, Color and Musicality, digital diagrams and painting 1991-2015, in the Municipal Exhibition Center of the city, Elche-Elx.
Julia Sáez-Angulo, vicepresident of the Madrid Association of Art Critics, AMCA, and member of the AECA / Spain International, writes in the catalog:
Geometry, Color and Musicality are three concepts of the eurythmy that emerges from the artistic work of ILUMINADA GARCIA-TORRES.
Geometry in which the rhythm of a musicality visible to the eyes is appreciated, inaudible, only in appearance.
She draws the dancing rhythm of a musicality that manifests herself in the wise administration of color on the support of paper, canvas ... geometry that dances; a musicality that is expressed in colors. Kandinsky already talked about it when he attributed musical notes to colors. Look at the sounds, hear the color.
Since the 90s she, ILUMINADA GARCIA-TORRES has a coherent research trajectory in Geometric Art, painting, sculpture and digital diagrams, from her work of Continuous Spatial Tracing,
Combinables to El Hilo de Ariadne. Geometry, color, rhythm and musicality are present in a creative world of lines, circles, squares, pixels ... designed by her artistic mind. Without leaving the painting, she uses the new technological means, which are fundamental in the generation of her innovative geometric artworks.

ILUMINADA GARCIA TORRES, in 1965-1970 she ingress and studied Professor of Drawing at the Superior Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, Madrid and Complutense University of Madrid. IILUMINADA GARCIA TORRES, (Elche, Alicante, 1949) she has made a decided commitment to Geometric Art, developing orthogonally organized shapes and colors. Following paths opened by the geometric Kandinsky of the German Bauhaus, author of POINT AND LINE ON THE PLANO, and Dutch Neoplasticism, ILUMINADA GARCIA TORRES
understands her painting and her sculpture as a mathematical system of proportions and geometric shapes.
ILUMINADA GARCIA TORRES achieves to formulate, in 1991, a basic module of squares, where she drew the points and lines. This module will be the beginning of future experimentation in Geometric Art.
A geometric and mathematical cosmos, that ILUMINADA GARCIA TORRES considers independent worlds, but participants of the totality, calculated according to systems of proportion in their measurements. The relation between full space and empty spaces is dynamic, because it generates multiple variations, determined by the color, shape, number, and direction of the lines, an interactive space that generates an integrating harmony of all the geometric elements in the composition.
The thread of Ariadna, is the generic name that has adopted to denominate to her work ILUMINADA GARCIA TORRES, as a consequence of painting (1986-88) the marble sculpture of Ariadna of the Museum of the Prado, in which she discovered a harmony of geometric y order mathematician that was to preside over her future work. The space research has been formally complicating his proposals with a multiplication of rhythmic sequences, parallel to the world of music, pictorial geometries that she calls Continuous Spatial Drawings. From this proposal her work is incorporated into the new technologies applicable to the art of painting.
The thread of Ariadna, is the generic name that has adopted to denominate to her work ILUMINADA GARCIA TORRES, as a consequence of painting (1986-88) the marble sculpture of Ariadna of the Museum of the Prado, in which she discovered a harmony of geometric y order mathematician that was to preside over her future work. The space research has been formally complicating his proposals with a multiplication of rhythmic sequences, parallel to the world of music, pictorial geometries that she calls Continuous Spatial Drawings. From this proposal her work is incorporated into the new technologies applicable to the art of painting.
The recent works of ILUMINADA GARCIA-TORRES, geometries of infinite development of the combinatorial of color and the process of the image generated by computer where the brushstroke is now structured by the pixel (picture element), dot in a rectilinear grid of points to form a geometric digital image.
With this digital process of the image, she has made the geometries of the present exhibition Música y Arte II. They constitute the beginning of a new series whose dot of expansion is musicality.
ILUMINADA GARCIA-TORRES has been able to see and work on the aesthetic aspects offered by the graphics of the musical notation. The pentagram or tetragram constitute the linear structure where the musical "signs" are deposited, she attempt to evoke the true graphia, which allows it to develop formal investigations related to Optical art and suggest virtual movements.

This is the first time you will see the work of Iluminada Garcia-Torres (1949) in the United Kingdom. During her residency at Gasworks, she has produced new works with the referent of the marble sculpture Ariadne at the Museo del Prado, in Madrid, I discovered that the harmony she evoked was fitted perfectly a geometric and mathematical pattern.
Iluminada García-Torres seeks to achieve harmony through the expression of the moment, constituted by line-space-time within proportional relation with the square structures. The singularity of each line is a step towards Light.

En el primer curso !965-66 es el pintor Antonio López García el maestro de ILUMINADA GARCIA TORRES y en 1969 Eusebio Sempere, año que concilió la docencia con la investigación en el Centro de Cálculo de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
1991 Inicio- ARTE GEOMÉTRICO COMBINABLES Trazado Espacial Continuo (1991) by ILUMINADA GARCIA TORRES (ELCHE, Alicante, 1949 España)
Señalar por la trascendencia que ha tenido en mi evolución en las artes visuales el hecho de realizar hace más de 30 años (1986-1988) dos pinturas al óleo/lienzo de la escultura de mármol, ARIADNA dormida en Naxos, en el MUSEO NACIONAL del PRADO, Madrid, para lo cual el pintor Antonio López García, Premio Príncipe de Asturias de las Artes (1985), tuvo a bien recomendarme firmando mi solicitud para obtener el carnet de copista, necesario para pintar en el Museo del Prado (escultura que se encuentra en la Rotonda de la Sala de las Musas del Museo del Prado y que el pintor Diego Velázquez (1599-1660) trajo de Roma para el rey Felipe IV y que el propio Velázquez la pintaría en Roma, en el lienzo de 44x38cm, Vista del jardín de la Villa Medicis-El mediodía, se exhibe en el Museo. En la Mitología griega- el Hilo de Ariadna).
Pinturas que mostraría junto a las composiciones pictóricas de objetos geométricos de influencia metafísica y arquitectónica en la exposición de la Galería Albatros de Madrid (1990). Miguel Fernández-Cid publicó la entrevista que me hizo con motivo de esta exposición en DIARIO 16 (5-diciembre-1990).
Otro hecho relevante en mi vida y trayectoria artística es el inicio y realizar la propuesta para mis obras en ARTE GEOMÉTRICO (1991) con la formulación teórica, matemática y geométrica que publiqué en el catálogo COMBINABLES, Trazado Espacial Continuo (1993) investigación que realicé en Madrid, donde vivía, tenía el estudio y pensaba presentar la nueva obra pero en un viaje a Alicante y conocer al Catedrático de Dibujo y pintor Segundo García Manzanet e interesarse muchísimo por el planteamiento que había hecho en Arte Geométrico, Sistemático y Normativo me propuso que hiciera la exposición en Alicante en la Caja de Ahorros del Mediterráneo CAM, de la Avenida Oscar Esplá 37. El pintor Segundo García también era Director del Museo de la Asegurada (museo MACA) y Colección de Eusebio Sempere artista de arte geométrico, del que fui alumna en Madrid en la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad Complutense (1969) cuando Eusebio Sempere
investigaba en el Seminario de Generación Automática de Formas Plásticas en el Centro de Cálculo de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y nos hablaba animándonos a que también participáramos en el Centro de Cálculo, con 20 años conocí la investigación que hacían pintores junto a ingenieros de IBM).
Creo necesario mencionar por la influencia significativa que también ha tenido en mi propuesta de ARTE GEOMÉTRICO Trazado Espacial Continuo para la ordenación espacial y realización de las pinceladas -medida y el trazo –gesto- directo único, en su lugar exacto, conformando líneas en mi pintura y medios electrónicos, la enseñanza del pintor realista Antonio López García siendo mi profesor en el primer curso Preparatorio (1965-66) en la Escuela Superior de BBAA de San Fernando y en 1984 en el Taller que impartió en el Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid.
